Natural Standard: Updated - Database Training 101

  • This webinar helps institutions incorporate Natural Standard into daily workflow and provides instruction to integrate Natural Standard with popular reference systems and EHR/SAAS platforms. The seminar also covers basic accessibility, federated search capability, link resolver and link out, as well as accessing Natural Standard through third-party password management solutions. The seminar's intended audience is electronic-health reference librarians and department managers.

Natural Standard: Manufacturer Training For Researchers, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs

  • This seminar discusses using Natural Standard for product formulation, ingredient research, regulatory submissions, and literature searches. We will also review custom research services including clinical trial protocol review and design and claim submissions. This month’s featured audio recording is Lactobacillus acidophilus. L. acidophilus is a common probiotic, a small organism that is used to promote health. Probiotics are different from prebiotics, which are sugars that are used to promote "good" bacteria in the intestines. L. acidophilus is thought to be safe, with few side effects. However, people who have intestinal damage, immune problems, or too much bacteria in the intestines should avoid L. acidophilus, due to risk of organ failure.
